Robert Laws (1851 - 1934) was leader of the Free Church (later United Free Church) of Scotland's Livingstonia Mission in northern Malawi and north-eastern Zambia, from 1878 until 1927. After attending primary school in Aberdeen, he was apprenticed as a cabinet maker, with the intention that he should follow his father into the trade.
